My last couple of posts have really been downers. Nothing happy about them. That’s really not how I am most of the time. I’m blessed to have a great wife and two young daughters who keep me happy. I really want to blog about my wife today though. Sometimes I don’t really get to talk to her because my daughter usually controls the conversation, and sometimes I’m busy with other things. I’m not sure how often I tell her, but I admire her. She always tells me that she thinks it’s great that I know so much about cars, computers, and other technical stuff. I think it’s EVEN BETTER that she’s so mild-mannered, even-tempered, and all-around patient. She’s the best person I’ve ever met, and she’s a fantastic mother. I know when my kids grow up, they’ll look back on their mother with nothing but good memories. She always makes time for everyone, and she goes out of her way to help all of her friends (to a fault sometimes). Her faith is strong, and no matter what life throws our way, she can always deal with it and continue.
She continues to impress me the longer we’re married. When I first met her, she was young and innocent. She knew what she wanted to do in life, and I was still struggling to figure out what I was going to be when I grew up. We’ve encountered some difficult times in life, but she’s always been the one person I can count on to get me through whatever issues arise. She’s always been a role model for me (one that I’ll never live up to), and I can’t tell her how much I love her for all the silent support she’s given me. She supports me through thick and thin; I’ve been tinting windows almost the entire time I’ve know her (17 years or so), and she always made accomodations for me to continue doing that. She makes sure my daughters are taken care of when I’m working long hours in the garage on nights or weekends, and she never complains about it.
If I had to pick a mate today, it would be her all over again. She doesn’t always have my full attention, but she’s always on my mind.
